There’s no i in team.

Recently Tina and I have been unsure if we are able to both be co-stage managers, as often theatre companies only have one. However, after discussing what tasks we would each undertake as well as both part take we decided that we would both be stage managers. I would oversee the technical side of the production and Tina would run behind stage, as well as setting the stage before the performance. Additionally now that all the props and costume would be on stage throughout the performance Tina will be in the box with me and operate, whilst I call the show. Now Tina and I are sharing the role I feel as though we will be able to over see more and will not be stretching ourselves in order to make ends meet. Additionally Tina and I have been able to edit and add to the script whilst the rest of the theatre company run the scenes. By getting the script finished it means that lighting and sound cues can be figured out and sourced.  Also it is helpful for the actors as it means lines can be learnt!
